Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is the parish youth group of many dioceses of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. CYO offers social, cultural, spiritual, recreational, and community service activities. It includes athletics, camping, drama, retreats, and service projects to help the aged and the poor. Programs are directed by individual dioceses. The national office, known as the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, provides assistance to the dioceses. CYO was founded in Chicago in 1930.
