Cetacean, << sih TAY shuhn, >> is a member of the order (group) of mammals made up of whales, dolphins, and porpoises. Cetaceans bear their young alive, and the babies nurse on the mother’s milk. Cetaceans live entirely in water and breathe air through lungs. Their fishlike bodies have a thick layer of fat called blubber that keeps them warm. Cetaceans have flippers for front limbs. They have no hind limbs and almost no hair.
