Chimborazo

Chimborazo, << `chihm` buh RAH zoh, >> is a volcanic mountain in the Andes of Ecuador, about 120 miles (193 kilometers) from the Pacific coast. Snow-covered Mount Chimborazo rises 20,702 feet (6,310 meters) above sea level. It is the highest of about 35 peaks in northern Ecuador that form an “avenue of volcanoes.”
