Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant denomination that follows the teachings of early Methodism. The church was established in 1908 in Pilot Point, Texas, by a merger of three independent Holiness groups. The church has thousands of congregations and a network of missions in all parts of the world.
The Church of the Nazarene supports numerous universities, colleges, and theological seminaries in the United States and many other countries. The Nazarene Publishing House produces books and periodicals. The official church magazine, Holiness Today, is available in print and on the Internet. The church broadcasts radio, television, and Internet programs around the world. International offices are in Lenexa, Kansas.
