Firecracker flower is a plant with colorful tubelike flowers. The plant grows to 3 feet (91 centimeters) tall and has long, grasslike leaves that arise from its base. The flowers form a cluster at the tip of the stem. They are mostly bright red, with green tips that curve back. The firecracker flower grows in southwestern Oregon and northern California. It is a perennial—that is, it can live for more than two years.
