Founding Fathers were American statesmen of the revolutionary period (late 1700’s), particularly those who wrote the Constitution of the United States. The Founding Fathers included Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, Gouverneur Morris, George Washington, and other delegates to the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
