Fraser, Neale (1933-…), was an Australian tennis star. He was a left-handed player known for his power and as a fierce competitor. Fraser won three grand slam singles titles, winning the United States Open title in 1959 and 1960 and the Wimbledon title in 1960. Fraser never won the Australian singles championship, though he reached the finals three times. Fraser was an outstanding doubles player. He won 11 grand slam men’s doubles championships and 5 mixed doubles titles.
Fraser was a member of the Australian Davis Cup team from 1955 to 1963. From 1959 to 1962, the team won four straight Cup titles. Fraser retired as a player in 1962 and then served as non-playing captain of the Australian Davis Cup team from 1970 to 1993. As captain, he guided the team to four Cup championships.
