Freedom from Hunger is a worldwide information program planned by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations. National branches of the organization in various countries collaborate with religious and other groups. They raise money to alleviate hunger in poor countries. Normally, the funds are spent to bring immediate relief to areas hit by famine.
