Glasswort

Glasswort is the name of several species of plants found worldwide. Glassworts grow from 4 to 24 inches (10 to 61 centimeters) high. Their small leaves look like scales on the fleshy green stems. Small flowers are concealed in groups of three between the leaves and the stems. A kind of glasswort called the samphire grows along seacoasts in temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
