Gray Panthers is a national organization that fights ageism (discrimination based on age), sexism, and racism. It also seeks to promote peace, social and economic justice, and protection of the environment. The organization has local chapters throughout the United States and members and supporters of all ages. It works with activists throughout the world to address such issues as access to education, health care, and affordable housing. The Gray Panthers was founded in 1970. The organization’s headquarters are in Washington, D.C.
