Harrow School

Harrow, << HAR oh, >> School is a leading public school in England. It was founded in 1572 by John Lyon, a wealthy landowner. Harrow School was at first intended to educate the poor boys of Harrow parish, which is about 12 miles (19 kilometers) from London. Most of its pupils are now admitted on payment of fees. Harrow taught only classical subjects until the 1800’s.
