Hexagon, << HEHK suh gon, >> is a six-sided plane figure. A hexagon’s sides meet at points called vertices, forming six interior angles. The sum of these angles is always 720°. In a regular hexagon, all sides have the same length and all angles have the same measure. Each angle of a regular hexagon measures 120°. A regular hexagon’s area equals half of the product of its perimeter (outer boundary) and its apothem (the distance from its center to the midpoint of any of its sides.) See also Polygon .
