Hibernia

Hibernia is an old name for Ireland. It comes from the Latin Juverna, which scholars believe to be the name Julius Caesar gave the country. Many uses of the name can be found in the Greek and Latin classics, especially in the writings of the Greek geographer Ptolemy, who described Ireland in detail.
