Incubation

Incubation is the process in which fertilized eggs and young animals are kept under proper conditions for growth and development. Female birds usually incubate their eggs by sitting on them. But machines called incubators may also be used for the incubation of birds’ eggs, newly hatched chicks, and even human beings. Incubators maintain the proper temperature and proper humidity favorable to good development. Scientists use another kind of incubator to grow microbes.
