Interpol

Interpol is an international organization of police authorities from 196 member countries. Its official name is the International Criminal Police Organization. Interpol works to ensure and promote cooperation and mutual assistance among member police authorities. Members must act within the limits of the laws of their respective countries. Interpol is prohibited by its own constitution from investigating or interfering with military, political, racial, or religious affairs. The organization was founded in 1923. Its headquarters are in Lyon, France.
