Juilliard << JOOL ih ahrd >> School, in New York City, is a leading school for the performing arts. Courses of study include music, dance, and drama. The school was established in 1905. It formerly consisted of the Juilliard Graduate School and the Institute of Musical Art. These two schools merged in 1946. The Juilliard School is a member of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
