Lillee, Dennis

Lillee, Dennis (1949-…), an Australian cricketer, became one of the best fast bowlers in the world. Lillee was the outstanding bowler of the match in the Centenary Test between Australia and England in 1977. During his Test career, which started in 1970 and ended in the 1983-1984 season, he played in 70 Test matches. He took 355 wickets, at an average of 23.92 runs per wicket. He took 5 or more wickets in an innings on 23 occasions. Dennis Keith Lillee was born in Perth, Western Australia, on July 18, 1949. He has written several books, including the autobiography My Life in Cricket (1982).
