Menelaus

Menelaus, << `mehn` uh LAY uhs >>, a king of Sparta, was the husband of Helen of Troy. Paris, a Trojan prince, persuaded Helen to elope with him to Troy. Menelaus and his brother, Agamemnon, gathered an army and attacked Troy. After 10 years they took the city, and Menelaus recovered Helen. They wandered for 8 years but finally reached Sparta. They lived there for many years.
