Middle America is a term geographers sometimes use for the area between the United States and South America. Middle America includes Mexico, Central America, and the islands in the Caribbean Sea. Spanish is the dominant language in Middle America. The term Middle America is sometimes also used to refer to the midwestern United States or to the U.S. middle class.
