Mohammad, Mushtaq

Mohammad, Mushtaq (1943-…), a Pakistan cricketer, was the most versatile of the four Mohammad brothers who played Test cricket for their country. A right-handed batsman, he was a superb timer of the ball. Mohammad was also a skillful leg-break bowler, which made him a genuine match winner in the right conditions.

Mohammad was born on Nov. 22, 1943, in Junagadh, Gujarat, India. His career began early when he made his first class debut at the age of 13, his Test debut at age 15, and scored his first Test century at 17. Between 1959 and 1979, he played 57 Tests, captaining the side 19 times. He made 3,643 runs and took 79 wickets during the course of his Test career.
