Morphology

Morphology, << mawr FOL uh jee, >> is the branch of science that deals with the structure of animals, plants, and nonliving matter. Morphology most often involves the study of living things. It includes such areas as cytology, the study of cell structure; histology, the study of tissue structure; and anatomy, the study of the structure of whole organisms. In geology, morphology is the study of the external form of rocks.
