Munsee << MUN see >> are a Native American group that formed the Wolf clan of the Delaware tribe. The Munsee lived around the headwaters of the Delaware River and along the Hudson River, and they were called the people of the stony country.
Around 1740, white settlers drove the Munsee away from the Delaware River region. They settled along the Susquehanna River. They later migrated to other areas, especially the Midwest and Southwest in the United States and the Canadian province of Ontario. See Delaware.
