National Farmers Union

National Farmers Union is a national federation of State Farmers Union organizations. It is dedicated to preserving and improving the family farm system of agriculture. The union represents about 200,000 farm families in dozens of states. It promotes legislation and education that benefits farmers. The union also develops cooperative buying and selling methods and businesses.

The National Farmers Union was founded in Texas in 1902. Its official name is the Farmers’ Educational and Cooperative Union of America. The union has national headquarters in Denver.
