North Cascades National Park is in northwestern Washington. The park’s magnificent scenery includes mountain ridges, forested valleys, alpine lakes and meadows, waterfalls, and glaciers. Among the animals that live in the park are bears, cougars, deer, moose, mountain goats, and wolverines. The park also has magnificent cedar and fir forests. The park was established in 1968, along with the adjacent Lake Chelan National Recreation Area and Ross Lake National Recreation Area.
