Pantheism is the philosophical and religious belief that everything that exists makes up an all-inclusive divine unity, or oneness. This unity, which includes people and nature, is what pantheists consider to be God. Pantheists see God in nature, but not as identical with nature.
Pantheism differs from polytheism and theism. Polytheism is the belief in the existence of many gods. Theistic faiths usually stress the existence of a personal God who is transcendent—that is, existing above and independent from everything else. Pantheism, however, denies that God is personal or transcendent. Pantheists generally do not pray or worship.
