Parapsychology << `par` uh sy KOL uh jee >> is the scientific study of certain phenomena that cannot be explained by current scientific knowledge. It mainly involves the study of extrasensory perception (ESP) and psychokinesis. The first parapsychology laboratory was established in the 1920’s at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Today, there are several parapsychology laboratories throughout the world.
