Peace Bridge is a symbol of the years of friendship between the peoples of the United States and Canada. It extends 5,800 feet (1,768 meters) across the Niagara River from Fort Potter, in Buffalo, New York, to Fort Erie, Ontario. A company with both Canadian and American directors owns the steel bridge. Peace Bridge opened on Aug. 7, 1927.
