Pioneer Clubs

Pioneer Clubs is an organization for girls and boys from age 2 through middle school. It conducts a Bible-based interdenominational club program that teaches Christian principles and encourages personal growth through individual and group experience. The program centers around the motto Christ in Every Aspect of Life and includes cultural, religious, and recreational activities.

Local clubs meet weekly. Pioneer Clubs operate throughout the United States and Canada. Every local club consists of five age divisions, each of which has a program for its age group. Members may also attend Camp Cherith, the summer camping ministry of Pioneer Clubs. The Pioneer Clubs depend on adult volunteers for leaders, and the organization provides training sessions and educational materials for these leaders. This training information is also available to youth leaders outside of the Pioneer Clubs.

The organization was founded in 1939 as a Christian organization for girls called Girls Guild. In 1941, the name was changed to Pioneer Girls, and a theme of pioneering and adventure was adopted. In 1981, it expanded its membership to include boys and the name was changed to Pioneer Clubs. Churches also have the option of conducting gender-specific clubs and using the names Pioneer Boys and Pioneer Girls. A Spanish-language division, Clubes Pioneros, was added in 1993. The clubs are divisions of a larger organization called Pioneer Ministries. Headquarters are in Wheaton, Illinois.
