Revere

Revere, << rih VEER, >> Massachusetts (pop. 62,186), lies northeast of Boston. Its beach draws many visitors. Its historic sites include Old Rumney Marsh Burying Ground and the Horatio Alger Homestead. At the time Revere was settled, shortly before 1630, it was known as Rumney Marsh and was part of Boston. It separated from Boston in 1739 and became Revere in 1871. It has a mayor-council government.
