Ribbon Falls is a beautiful waterfall that looks like a narrow ribbon as it drops 1,612 feet (491 meters) in the Yosemite Valley in California’s Yosemite National Park. It is one of the highest waterfalls in the world. Ribbon Falls is fed by a creek that rises in the mountains above the Yosemite Valley. The water drops down a narrow gorge into the Merced River, which flows through the valley. Ribbon Falls goes dry in early August during the dry California summer. It becomes a torrent during May and June.
