Saint Kilda

Saint Kilda is an uninhabited group of islands in the North Atlantic Ocean. They lie about 40 miles (64 kilometers) west of the northernmost point of the island of North Uist, in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. The islands are governed as part of Western Isles (see Western Isles ). The islet of St. Kilda itself is a bird sanctuary. It also has an army base. Mouflon sheep live on a smaller nearby islet, Soay.
