Spanish America is the name sometimes given to the Spanish-speaking parts of Latin America. It includes Central America, except Belize; South America, except Brazil and the Guianas; Mexico; and Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and some other places in the Caribbean region.
