Taklimakan Desert

Taklimakan << `tah` kluh muh KAHN >> Desert lies in northwestern China between the Tian Shan and Kunlun mountains. Its small hills and shifting sand dunes cover about 125,000 square miles (323,700 square kilometers) in the Xinjiang region.
