Tic

Tic is a term used to describe repetitive, brief, rapid, involuntary movements of various muscle groups. Tics occur at random intervals. Examples of simple tics include shoulder shrugging, eye blinking, facial twitching, head and neck jerking, kicking, and bending movements of the waist. Tics are most commonly seen in the face, head, and neck. See also Neuralgia ; Tourette syndrome .
