Kresge Foundation is a private philanthropic institution. It awards grants to organizations in the fields of higher education, arts and humanities, human services, health care, science and the environment, and public affairs. Grant funds aid in the construction and improvement of facilities and in the purchase of equipment and real estate.
The foundation was established in 1924 by the American businessman Sebastian S. Kresge. The foundation’s headquarters are in Troy, Michigan.
