White, Paul Dudley

White, Paul Dudley (1886-1973), an American physician, was regarded as one of the world’s great authorities on heart diseases. He served as president of the American Heart Association from 1942 to 1944, and he became president of the International Society of Cardiology in 1954. White served on many committees and foreign missions. He acted as chief medical consultant to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. White was born in Boston.
