Jouhaux, << zhoo OH, >> Leon (1879-1954), a French socialist, labor leader, and worker for international cooperation, won the 1951 Nobel Peace Prize. He served in the International Labour Organization and as French delegate to the League of Nations, a forerunner of the United Nations. Jouhaux was later a French delegate to the United Nations. He was born in Paris.
