Drummond, Henry (1851-1897), a Scottish evangelist and author, became known for his books Natural Law in the Spiritual World (1883) and The Ascent of Man (1894). He attempted to connect the theory of evolution with Christian belief. The religious movement he started spread through England, the United States, and Australia. He was born at Stirling, Scotland.
