Manship, Paul

Manship, Paul (1885-1966), was an American sculptor. His works appear in public buildings throughout the United States. He worked in stone and metals. Many of his sculptures recall the traditions of European art. One of his best-known works, Prometheus, is in Rockefeller Center in New York City. Manship was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He studied under Solon Borglum in New York City.
