Soderblom, << SUH dur blum, >> Nathan (1866-1931), a Swedish archbishop and professor, was a leader of the ecumenical movement among the churches of the world. He won the 1930 Nobel Peace Prize for his work for war relief and peace during and after World War I (1914-1918). Soderblom was born in Trono, near Uppsala, Sweden. He was educated at Uppsala University. In 1901, he became a professor in Uppsala, and in 1912, in Leipzig, Germany. He became archbishop of the Church of Sweden (Lutheran) in 1914.
