Macleod, John James Rickard

Macleod, << muh KLOWD, >> John James Rickard (1876-1935), was a Scottish physiologist. He and Sir Frederick Banting won the 1923 Nobel Prize for physiology or medicine for their discovery of insulin in 1922. Macleod was born near Dunkeld, Scotland. He taught physiology in Cleveland, Toronto, and Aberdeen.
