Wood, Robert Williams (1868-1955), was an American physicist. His principal interest was in spectrum analysis of metallic vapor. His experiments contributed to the development of new theories about the structure of matter. He pioneered in the development of color photography. Wood was born in Concord, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University.
