Boronia is the name given to about 90 kinds of shrubs that grow only in Australia. Boronias are common on moors. Most of them grow in Western Australia. Most boronias are small shrubs with pink, fragrant, open flowers with four petals and eight stamens.
Many Australians grow boronias, particularly brown boronia because of its fragrance. One species, native rose, is highly prized for its scent and deep color. It is extremely rare and grows only around the area of Sydney Harbour.
