Court of Saint James’s is the title of the British royal court. It derives its name from Saint James’s Palace, in Westminster, London. The palace is no longer the monarch’s residence, but ambassadors are still appointed “to the Court of Saint James’s,” and the accession of every sovereign is publicly proclaimed from the palace balcony.
