Mendip Hills are a range of hills in northeastern Somerset, England. The range extends about 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Axbridge in the northwest to beyond Shepton Mallet in the southeast. The highest point of the range is Black Down, 1,070 feet (326 meters) above sea level.
