Mount Lofty Ranges are a series of hills extending from Peterborough to Cape Jervis, in South Australia. Mount Bryan and Mount Lofty are two of the highest peaks. Mount Bryan rises to 3,064 feet (934 meters) above sea level, and Mount Lofty reaches a height of 2,385 feet (727 meters). The Torrens River rises in the ranges. Farmers grow apples, pears, and cherries on the higher slopes. They raise dairy cattle and hogs in the wetter, less rugged parts and grow grapes and almonds on the lower slopes.
