Dallis grass is grown as a summer pasture grass in areas of high rainfall in South Africa. In Australia, it is grown especially in the dairying region of New South Wales and Victoria, and the Queensland tablelands. Bahia grass has been introduced to the southern United States as a fodder and lawn grass. Koda millet is a type of paspalum grown extensively in India as an animal feed. Water couch is a paspalum that grows in swampy areas and is planted as a fodder grass in warm coastal areas.
