Rotorua

Rotorua (pop. 71,877) is a district on the volcanic plateau of the North Island of New Zealand. The city area has developed around one side of Lake Rotorua. Rotorua is one of the country’s most important tourist centers, offering such attractions as scenic lakes, trout fishing, geothermal activity, Māori arts, and tourist entertainment. It is also a center of the timber industry.
