Saint Michael’s Mount is a picturesque rocky islet in Mount’s Bay, off Cornwall, England. It lies about 31/10 miles (5 kilometers) east of Penzance and 3/5 mile (1.25 kilometers) from Marazion on the mainland, from which it can be reached by a narrow causeway at low tide. A castle on the summit of the islet has a chapel built in the 1300’s. Below the castle lies a small village with a harbor.
