Snowy River

Snowy River is a river in southeastern New South Wales and eastern Victoria, Australia. It rises near Mount Kosciuszko in the Snowy Mountains and flows for about 270 miles (430 kilometers) to its estuary near Orbost, in eastern Gippsland. The river became famous when the Australian poet Banjo Paterson published his poem “The Man from Snowy River” in 1890.
